Kastles stars Serena Williams, Leander Paes, Rennae Stubbs, and Nadia Petrova look to follow up an impressive US Open performance at the Australian Open -- 2010's first Grand Slam. At the US Open, Kastles players had a combined record of 33-7 including capturing two championships, and appearances in one final and two semifinals. Kastles players are seeded in the Australian Open Women's Singles, Women's Doubles, and Men's Doubles draws. The Mixed Doubles draw has yet to be announced.
The Australian Open marks the reunion of the Rennae Subbs and Lisa Raymond doubles team -- once the #1 ranked team in the World and one of the most successful of all time. Between 1996 and 2005, Rennae and Lisa won a total of 32 titles together including three Grand Slams -- the Australian Open (2000), Wimbledon (2001), and the US Open (2001). Interestingly, Nadia Petrova will be playing with Rennae's 2009 doubles partner, Samantha Stosur.
In Women's Singles, world #1 Serena Williams is the top-seeded player and Nadia Petrova is seeded #19. In Women's Doubles, Serena and her sister Venus are seeded second, Nadia and Sam Stosur are the fifth seed, and Rennae and Lisa Raymond are seeded sixth.
